Surgical guide design software: CBCT to printable guide in one project.
Dental implant software that keeps a whole guided case in one project, so the surgeon's intent survives to the lab, revisions drop and turnaround tightens.
Implant guide design has been a multi-tool exercise for two decades. Diagnosis happens in one viewer. Planning in another. Surgical-guide design in a third — often by a different person at the lab, who's reading the surgeon's intent off a referral note and a CBCT folder rather than seeing the actual plan. File conversions accumulate. Coordinate systems drift. The phone call to clarify what was meant by "place the central in a more palatal position" is so routine nobody notices it anymore.
GuideMia Implant Master is one workflow.
The CBCT, segmented intelligently
Load the CBCT DICOM volume directly. Implant Master's AI handles the bulk pass of bone segmentation — you don't draw boundaries by hand on every slice. Refine the segmentation where it matters (the sinus floor, the inferior alveolar canal, the mental foramen) and you have a clean bony reconstruction to plan against in minutes, not hours.
Dental implant software on one anatomical view: bone, soft tissue and crowns
Overlay the patient's intraoral scans on top of the CBCT. The optical mesh registers to the bone reconstruction, and now you're planning against the patient — not against bone alone. Soft tissue thickness matters. The position of adjacent crowns matters. The aesthetic outcome lives in this combined view.
Dental implant software, working from your real library
Implant Master's library is real-world: the implant brands, lengths, and diameters your lab actually places, not a generic stand-in. Position fixtures on the bone with proper depth gauges and angulation indicators, drop abutments to check the prosthetic emergence, layer in adjacent restorations if it's a multi-unit case.
Surgical guide design software, in the same project
Switch from planning to guide design without leaving the project. Anchor points where the guide will seat. Drill sleeves matched to the surgical kit you're using (not a generic sleeve diameter you'll have to substitute in the OR). Retention features. Open windows or closed bodies. Export the guide as a printable .stl for whatever printer the lab uses.
Crucially, the plan and the guide are the same record. A revision to the implant position is a revision the guide sees. There's no "we updated the plan, please regenerate the guide" round trip.
What this changes clinically
- The plan is evaluated against real anatomy. Bone density at the fixture site, IAN distance, sinus proximity — all visible in the same view, not in a separate radiology report.
- Patient conversations happen with 3D in front of them. Walk the patient through their implant plan on the chairside screen.
- Second opinions are an email link. Share the plan with a referring periodontist or oral surgeon through the free GuideMia Implant Planner viewer — they don't need an Implant Master licence to look.
What this changes for the lab
- Guide design starts from the surgeon's plan. Not from a paragraph of "place an implant in the area of 14, watch out for the sinus."
- Fewer revisions. The surgeon and the lab worked in the same coordinate system, on the same anatomy, in the same project — most "the guide doesn't match what I planned" cases never start.
- Faster turnaround. No file-conversion step, no re-import of the CBCT, no re-registration of the intraoral scans.
- QA on actual anatomy. A senior reviewer at the lab opens the same project and sees the bony reconstruction, the fixture positions, and the guide together — they're not reviewing a screenshot.
510(k) cleared
Implant Master is 510(k) cleared (K121466). Use it in US clinical practice with confidence; the regulatory path is done.
Try it on one of your cases
Book a walkthrough on a real case from your practice or lab — we'll show you how Implant Master plans and designs the guide in one project. Or open the free GuideMia Implant Planner at guidemia.com/products/implant-master to download the viewer and look at an example plan first. Leave your email below for the walkthrough invitation.
